Thanksgiving is a time

When families get together

And spend time visiting, eating

And just having a good time.

It is a wonderful time

Of the year, when autumns

Leaves have turned to

Reds, yellows and brown.

But most of all It is a time

To give Thanks to God for

All of his goodness and

Mercy to the sons of men.

Unfortunately this year there

Is a pall hanging all over the world

What with the war in Iraq

And the situation in the Middleeast.

All the more for believers

In Christ to offer their prayers

for sanity to invade the hearts

and minds of those in authority.

Let there by Peace on earth

And let it begin with me.

Let there be peace on earth

The peace that was meant to be.

With God as our Father

Brothers all are we.

Let me walk with my

brother In perfect harmony.

Let peace begin with me,

Let this be the moment now.

With ev'ry step I take

Let this be my solemn vow;

To take each moment and live

Each moment in peace eternally.

Let there be peace on earth

And let it begin with me.
