Todays Update carries comes on a special day. Two years ago the "New Intifada" started in Jerusalem. I hope that this can be a reminder that this Intifada started because Palestinians insist on getting their rights that should be guarranteed by the Internatoinal Law and All Human Right conventions. This Intifada did not start because Palestinians do not want peace, and want to destroy the state of Israel. The what has been described as the "generous offer of Israel for the Palestinians" is not really a generous offer, yet a command to give up our basic rights as Palestinians and
accept the Occupation by defacto.
So, people should not wonder why the Palestinians rejected this so-called "offer". For more inofrmation about the different stages that the Palestinian - Israeli negotiations please take a look at the website of the Applied Research Institute of Jerusalem, (ARIJ) at http://www.arij.org. There you will find maps and text that will give you a good idea about this.
Therefore, I would like to share with you my hope that there will be peace in this region to make up for those who has been killed in this conflict. Peace and Justice is the only thing that can make up for the big human loss that took place here.
